Madison Friends

Festival of Wreaths WEB.jpgMadison Friends of the Library will end a busy year with holiday festivities. In December, FOL invites local nonprofits and artists to make holiday wreaths to decorate the library; the annual Festival of Wreaths will be on view throughout December.

FOL members showed their Halloween spirit at Noir @ the Bar: The Undead Edition on Wednesday night, Oct. 21, at Blue Pants Brewery. The literary mystery evening was a fundraiser for the library. FOL’s bookstore in the Madison Library also helps fund library projects.

Friends help Madison kick off Summer Reading each year at Read Around the Block. All year long, they help with Madison’s garden and the Garden Rangers program for kids; this year Garden Rangers’ scarecrow, “Twilight Sparkle,” won third place at the Huntsville Botanical Garden’s Scarecrow Trail.

FOL meets on the second Tuesday of each month at the Madison Library, 130 Plaza Blvd. in Madison. For more information, please contact the library at 256-461-0046 or
