The Triana Friends of the Library organization is a lot like the Triana Library itself: small, busy, and growing. Over the past year, FOL members have sponsored programs focusing on Chinese New Year, Cinco de Mayo, St. Patrick’s Day, Earth Day, and more. They’ve hosted puzzle nights, kite-flying events, and an end-of-summer luau, where they taught kids how to dance the hula. They’ve helped with programs for Easter, movie night, crafts for seniors, sewing for kids, and, of course, the library’s big Summer Reading push.
Triana FOL has big plans for the holidays: FOL’s An Evening to Remember is a festive fundraiser with dinner and music set for Saturday, Dec. 19 at 6 p.m.
FOL meets on the second Tuesday of each month at the Triana Library, 357 Record St. in Triana. For more information, please contact the library at 256-772-9943 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
