Please fill out our Volunteer Application in order to apply as an HMCPL Volunteer. Please note that you may only apply for volunteer openings at Library locations with a current need for volunteers.
All potential HMCPL Volunteers must complete and successfully pass a background check in order to begin volunteering. Volunteers must also complete the HMCPL Volunteer Orientation before they will be scheduled at their library Location.
If you are a member of an organization looking for an opportunity to volunteer as a group we are more than happy to discuss larger volunteer opportunities with HMCPL that may suit your needs. To contact our Volunteer Coordinator, email firstname.lastname@example.org
Please see the HMCPL Volunteer Handbook for a complete listing of Volunteer Guidelines. By submitting a Volunteer Application or participating as a Volunteer in any capacity with HMCPL, you express your willingness to abide by any and all HMCPL policies as well as all HMCPL Volunteer Guidelines. Refusal to agree to or failure to abide by these guidelines will result in your application being declined and/or you being dismissed form volunteer service.
In the interests of our patrons, staff, and volunteers, HMCPL reserves the right to decline acceptance of a volunteer application at any time.
HMCPL Teen Volunteers
Every summer, select HMCPL locations offer special volunteer opportunities for teens age 14-18. Please fill out the Teen Volunteer Application for your local Library and fulfill any additional requirements. Please note that applications are only accepted between the dates listed for each location and not all applications offer teen volunteer opportunities.
If you are looking for volunteer hours to complete scholarship or merit requirements, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator by emailing email@example.com prior to applying as a volunteer.
